Part of catching up on blogging is making the frantic attempt to look back, see how far back you should go, debate blogging old sessions, (cause SEO, right?) look at your current editing list, check the time, realize it’s 1:09pm and you’ve spent the ENTIRE morning setting up your new WordPress theme (because you accidentally destroyed the one you’ve had for years yesterday, by deleting some code NOT on purpose, and you can’t figure out how to fix it, so you buy a whole new theme, fill it out from scratch with your content), realize you haven’t edited ANYTHING today and the goal was 4 sessions, you leave in 70 minutes to pick the kids up from school, pep talk yourself on the utter importance of this to keep your business thriving and searchable on the web…have an existential crisis, and decide to simply start from yesterday. Good enough 😜
But still, there’s a backstory to be told. Why the name change? What’s happened the past several years? Buckle up, it’s been a lot. That’s a post for tomorrow, because I really DO need to edit today.
The most recent life event was that I got re-married. And I’ve never been genuinely happier and at peace in my entire life. Everything just fell into place- the kids have been doing amazing, my husband is truly the love of my life and an amazing step-dad, and I opened a huge studio this year in my town. Life. Is. Amazing.

The moment we were pronounced husband and wife, was surreal. 2020 brought a lot of heartache, depression, and hard times to the world. But to me, it brought the best thing I could have possibly asked for. Him. Our romance was fueled by a connection we couldn’t truly explain. We got engaged, began building a life together, went through some hard times (including a house fire!) and 3 years later, I finally got to become his wife. I “officially” gained an amazing stepdaughter. The sun was shining. Our closest family and friends were genuinely happy to be there and it was full of love. It was the best day ever.
